Hyundai Veloster Listed Among KBB.com’s 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000

The auto-research site recently ranked the Veloster at No. 2 on its list of the 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000 for 2014, citing the compact hatchback’s unique three-door design and its excellent value that has become synonymous with the Hyundai brand.

Outside, the Hyundai Veloster sports aggressive styling that is augmented by large LED-accented headlights, while inside the cabin, it has a number of standard features that will appeal to younger buyers. All 2014 Veloster models come with Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, USB and auxiliary input jacks, and a largest-in-class seven-inch LCD touchscreen with a rearview camera. Drivers will also receive value from the Veloster long after their purchase, as the hatchback returns up to 36 mpg on the highway.

Housing a 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine, the 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo boasts 201 horsepower and a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio while harnessing that impressive output with sport-tuned steering and Torque Vectoring Control. On the other hand, the new 2014 Veloster RE:FLEX Edition offers an exclusive Ice Pearl paintjob, 18-inch alloy wheels with a chrome finish, chrome hood accents and door handles, and RE:FLEX badging. Buyers of the Veloster RE:FLEX Edition also have the option of black or red full-leather seating that is complemented by Piano Black accents, illuminated door sills and a 450-watt eight-speaker Dimension premium sound system.
