When NBA superstar LeBron James tweeted last year about riding around in his Kia K900, many fans jumped at the claim and felt it was a simple marketing ploy. Well, LeBron and Kia aren’t letting rumors and skepticism get ahold of the matter, as a new ad campaign sets out to prove the fact that King James does indeed call the K900 his own.

Three new spots featuring the 11-time NBA All-Star — entitled “Ten Mil,” “1,000%” and “Spaceship” — bring viewers along with a team of experts into LeBron’s garage command post in order to discover the truth. Ever since the Cavaliers star tweeted his love for his vehicle, fans have questioned the validity of the statement, but the brand hopes to emphasize through this new campaign that their luxury vehicles truly are “Fit For A King.”
“The award-winning K900 exemplifies the incredible transformation of the Kia brand, and as a tastemaker who is not afraid to go his own way, LeBron James plays an important role in our efforts to change perception by challenging consumers to discover the new Kia,” said Tim Chaney, vice president of marketing communications at Kia Motors America. “LeBron is pushing people to question everything they think they know about our brand, and we could not be more proud of the fact that he can often be seen driving in and around the Cleveland area in a Kia K900.”
LeBron joined Kia as a K900 Luxury Ambassador after reaching out to the company, and the partnership has flourished ever since. It’s important to note that Kia also serves as the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA, so it’s not just King James who has been acknowledging Kia and their quality selection of vehicles. You can visit our Kia dealership in Milwaukee today to take a K900 out for a test-drive and see what LeBron and drivers everywhere are raving about. We look forward to showing you what Kia and the K900 are all about!
