We love the Kia Optima Hybrid for its cutting-edge style, performance and fuel efficiency, which is why we’re so excited about the 2013-model-year refresh! Kia engineers have managed to make the Kia Optima Hybrid even more efficient, while the stylists have further refined the model’s daring exterior to create a package that earns top marks in our book.
Under the hood, there’s a new 47-horsepower electric motor, which is paired with an advanced lithium polymer battery. Combined with the gas engine, the Optima Hybrid now produces 199 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 40 pound-feet over the previous model. Meanwhile, fuel efficiency has also increased to up to 36 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. You really can have your cake and eat it too!
Inside, you’ll have more trunk space thanks to the revised battery pack, as well as an available rear-view camera, an eight-speaker Infinity audio system that simply rocks, a panoramic sunroof and even heated and ventilated front seats.
We’re unabashed fans of all things Mazda, from the latest vehicles like the 2014 Mazda6 to historic models like the Mazda Cosmo. Sadly, Mazda’s museum is in Japan, which makes seeing these fantastic models in the flesh a tough prospect. Luckily, Mazda has teamed up with Google to create an interactive tour of its museum on Google Street View! Now all you need is an active Internet connection to peruse the models that have made Mazda a household name on the track and on the highways of America.
We love this idea, and it shows that Mazda is always willing to embrace new technology to improve the experience of its fans. Check it out here: Mazda Museum
While we don’t have the historic models, we do have all the latest Mazdas at our Illinois Mazda dealership. If you’ve got a yearning for more Zoom-Zoom in your daily drive, stop by and we’ll hook you up.
Illinois drivers looking for a luxurious sedan have discovered that they don’t need to rely on the old guard of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi when they want a quality ride. The Hyundai Equus offers an incredible driving experience without the badge baggage that comes with the competition. Most of our customers find it’s a refreshing change. But now Hyundai has gone and made the Equus even better.
Due to debut at the New York International Auto Show, the 2014 Hyundai Equus offers revised styling, drivetrains and interior accoutrements that make it more than a match for the old-money brands. You don’t have to take our word for it, though: Check out the video above and get a look for yourself.
